Ben earned a Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine with distinction from Plymouth Marjon University, where he gained experience treating a variety of challenging health issues. He works closely with each patient to develop a personalised treatment plan that employs a range of osteopathic techniques including gentle articulations, soft tissue release and joint manipulation.
Having a keen interest in spinal health, biomechanics and the effects of stress on the body. He feels each person’s experience of pain is unique, whether acute or chronic, making an individualised and holistic approach essential. Pain is often associated with increased muscle guarding, low-grade inflammation, impaired circulation and poor sleep. His treatment will aim to desensitize painful tissues and restore function, allowing the body to recover quicker.
Ben’s interest in osteopathy began while living in Hong Kong, where he was introduced to Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques in manual therapy. This inspired him to pursue osteopathy to help others because it is evidence based and a great adjunct to conventional medicine. Movement and fitness are a big part of his life, so in his free time, you’ll often find him at the gym, practicing yoga, or training martial arts.
He is with us on Mondays & Thursdays.
